The Aethos Expert is equipped with SRAM Rival eTap AXS electronic drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and Roval C38 Disc carbon wheels. The frame of the Aethos was designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, lightness and style - to be able to accelerate up steep climbs, down the most technical descents and to be comfortable even on long Sunday rides. But you might ask, how did Specialized do it? Specialized has re-invented the traditional road bike shape of the past, changing it slightly to optimise stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or strength. The Aethos is more than a new bike, it is the beginning of a new generation. A very light frame is of no use if the riding characteristics do not inspire confidence. That is why for the Aethos, Specialized sought the perfect mix of stiffness at the front and rear in relation to ride quality. By studying the flexibility and every detail of the carbon fibres, Specialized discovered a lot about how forces flow through the frame. It only takes a few pedal strokes to realise that the Aethos represents a new standard of riding. Every detail, from the shifter mount to the stem expander, has been designed with style, weight and strength in mind.Specialized has also included the new Alpinist carbon fibre seatpost to trim further weight and optimise ride characteristics - all for perfect rideability.
