MTB XTR 12v Chain
Designed for SHIMANO's revolutionary XTR M9100 12-speed MTB groupset, the M9100 chain offers an improved retention system due to the larger section of the inner plate. The new chain features QUICK-LINK assembly and SIL-TEC treatment for enhanced off-road durability.
MTB XTR 12S Sprocket Cassette
With BEAM SPIDER construction, the XTR M9100 12-v cassette offers reduced weight while increasing the SHIMANO MTB range by one ratio. Through the use of SHIMANO's new MICRO SPLINE rear hub body and HYPERGLIDE+ toothing profile, these 10-45 and 10-51D cassettes provide advanced shifting performance.

The SHIMANO XTR FC-M9100-1 crankset features an entirely revamped design using direct-mount sprockets, special profile toothing to increase chain retention, and a 162mm Q-factor. The FC-M9100-1 makes use of a 52mm chain line and can be converted between 1x and 2x, with 30, 32, 34, 36 and 38D chainrings available.
Shimano XTR shifters
The XTR M9100 derailleur series offers a new level of quietness thanks to reduced tension when the lowest ratio is selected and thanks to an additional buffer on the pulley cage. Wider 13D pulleys increase efficiency and optimize chain handling while compatibility with new SHIMANO 12v cassettes significantly expand the range.
XTR shifting controls
RAPIDFIRE PLUS XTR shift controls provide fast and intuitive shifting to increase control in the trail. The new I-SPEC EV lever offers a wide range of adjustments including increased lever slip band and a 60-degree rotation angle. With its lightweight and compact design, the SL-M9100 shift control continues to lead the mountain bike industry.
XTR 12S Sprocket
The XTR SM-CRM95 racing sprocket provides smooth and responsive pedaling over rough terrain. The SM-CRM95 sprocket features SHIMANO DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT+ technology with special profile teeth that provide excellent chain engagement and retention.
Technologies
HG HYPERGLIDE
The distinctively designed HYPERGLIDE sprockets incorporate specially positioned shift ramps and tooth profiles for improved chain control during shifting. Fast and responsive indexed shifting is the result. The HG cassette sprocket, which was developed for the MTB 9-speed system, underwent comprehensive optimization to achieve super-highly efficient shifting.
Hollowtech II
Providing the best balance of stiffness, strength, weight and rotating performance The concept of Hollowtech II technology is focused on producing a superior crankset which will maximize a rider’s power transfer. The rigidity of the crankset ensures pedaling efficiency while its weight, a key element of the crankset, you want light, aids in cycling longer distances over which the rider needs to pedal more. Naturally, Shimano strove for the optimum balance between the conflicting needs of stiffness while producing a lightweight crank. Hollowtech technology is an ultra-lightweight hollow crankarm created by Shimano with the company’s own proprietary forging technology that also maintains rigidity. The addition of Hollowtech II technology integrates the bottom bracket axle with the right crankarm for more stiffness and a weight savings to achieve a high-dimensional balance. Its outboard bottom bracket bearing system provides better weight distribution and more pedaling stability, allowing for more efficient power transfer. The Hollowtech II crankset has been developed by pursuing the optimum balance of stiffness & rotating performance in a lightweight and beautiful crankset design. High Precision Sealing Moreover, Hollowtech II crankset has a high-precision sealing in the bearing area to increase durability maintaining the excellent rotating performance for long periods.
2Way-Release
The RapidFire Plus shifter release lever is commonly called a trigger because it is operated like a pistol, by pulling toward the grip. The release lever of RapidFire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in this same manner but adds the ability to activate a release shift by pushing with the thumb.
I-SPEC EV
I-SPEC EV creates a clean, optimised dashboard that allows for greater focus and flexibility for a wide range of cyclists. The wider adjustment range allows cyclists of many different styles, preferences and builds to find their optimal position. The ergonomic design, quicker lever access and lightweight operation improve riding comfort and concentration. Thanks to a wider adjustment range, the I-SPEC EV levers can be adjusted to the optimal position to suit different riding styles (ENDURO/XC/etc.), individual preferences and riders' anatomies (hand/arm alignment). In addition, I-SPEC EV increases the stiffness of the brake lever by moving the clamp position inwards to create an additional contact point between the handlebar and the lever. This additional support greatly increases bike control and brake engagement while maintaining a space between the clamp and the support point for other handlebar-mounted accessories.
RapidFire Plus
Mountain bikers have used RapidFire Plus since 1985. RapidFire Plus is still a winning choice from a wide range of riders from XC racers to freeriders. RapidFire Plus is suited to quick shifting, giving riders the ability to downshift three gears in one stroke. RapidFire Plus shifters from Deore to XTR all feature 2Way-Release, which means release shifts by pull of the index finger or push of the thumb.
